Carlisle Area School District plants to save up to $15,000 on landscaping costs this year. How? Sheep.
“The Patriot-News of Harrisburg reports the district is using the sheep to keep the grass near its solar panels neatly trimmed. The sheep nibble grass in the morning and take refuge in the shade of the panels in the afternoon.”

Now while we are a lawn care company, we think it is actually a great idea. Imagine if more districts across the country did this – how much gas would be saved in a year? Hopefully they put the money back into the school (books, computers, programs etc.)
